China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award, as the top honor of China's nonferrous metals industry, has always adhered to the principles of professionalism, rigor and fairness since its establishment in 2001 with the approval of the National Science and Technology Award Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, aiming to commend enterprises and projects that have made significant technological innovations and outstanding contributions in the field of nonferrous metals. The award-winning "Key Technology and Industrialization of Multi-layer Metal Explosion Composite" project of Phohom New Material has achieved a number of technological innovations: Research and development of large thickness and multi-layer metal one-time explosion composite technology, to achieve multi-layer heterogeneous metal one-time composite forming, break through the thickness limit of single-layer composite plates, effectively solve the problem that intermetallic compounds are easy to form and the strength is not high when multiple layers of heterogeneous metals are directly exploded. The project not only achieved a major breakthrough in technology, but also successfully realized industrialization, stable product performance, high maturity, good technical reproducibility, the overall technology of the project has reached the international leading level, and created significant economic and social benefits for enterprises and society.

It is worth mentioning that this is the third time that Phohom New Materials has won this industry's highest honor after 2021 and 2023.
