Phohom New Material and Beijing Institute of Technology Jointly Published Academic Paper in JMR&T

Recently, Dr Wei Chen, Professor Fenglei Huang, Professor Aiguo Pi from Beijing Institute of Technology(BIT) and Mr Zhiheng Zeng, the Chairman of Phohom New Material Technology Co.,LTD(hereinafter referred to as “Phohom New Material”), published a paper entitled “Microstructure and mechanical properties of heterogeneous-gradient composite plates with a sphere-array interlayer prepared using explosive welding” in the top international journal, Journal of Materials Research and Technology-JMR&T (hereinafter referred to as "JMR&T"). This study lays an important theoretical foundation for exploring the microstructure and mechanical properties of heterogeneous-gradient composite plates with a sphere-array interlayer prepared by explosion welding. It’s an important discovery for the application of titanium-steel metal composites in special equipment, and the microstructure observation and mechanical property test data show that this research is of great value.

Phohom New Material has been focusing on the research and development of metal explosion composite technology for nearly 30 years, with experts and doctoral workstations, and maintaining in-depth scientific research cooperation with many famous colleges and universities such as BIT, and is continuing to promote technological breakthroughs and innovations and the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements. Phohom New Material has built a provincial and municipal technology centre, a high energy rate technology processing centre and a layered metal composite technology testing centre. There are more than 20 special or full-time experts, more than 30 employees with senior titles and above, and it has industry innovation first technology research and development capability.

As we all know, JMR&T is internationally recognised as the top journal in the field of materials science, providing a cutting-edge arena for those exploring the theoretical and experimental aspects of materials science. JMR&T focuses on innovations in the field of materials processing, and is also dedicated to unravelling the properties and behaviours of various types of advanced materials such as metals, alloys, and composites, and to advancing the development of energy materials through advanced characterisation, analysis, and modelling.
